Brain Injury Care

Penybryn is the newest edition to the Pendine Park community. Opened in May 2007 it is a centre of excellence in caring for younger people with neurological problems caused by acquired brain injury and conditions such as Multiple Sclerosis and stroke. We provide day care, respite and longer term residential services that promote an individuals independence through rehabilitation and support.

The spacious, modern and beautifully decorated accommodation includes superior rooms and suites. All rooms and suites have en-suite bathing facilities and some have patio doors to the gardens. The tranquil setting in landscaped gardens is surrounded by open countryside yet is very close to Wrexham town centre with all its amenities. Residents can choose from a wide range of delicious home cooked meals.

Our friendly, highly qualified and experienced nurses, care practitioners, physiotherapies and resident artist provide a range of individually tailored therapies to promote and encourage as much independence as possible. Penybryn residents can enjoy a healthy social life and a wide range of activities including music, multi-media entertainment, hobbies and pastimes whilst Internet access is available.

Engaging with the community is important and trips and outings are popular – visits to the shops, cinema, the local pub or even a football match are always on the agenda. Our philosophy is to help people live their lives as they wish, so our residents can always chill out and do their own thing. We have been delighted with the positive response to the opening of Penybryn, find out what Gwenda Thomas said (link to news)
